Our COVID Protocols

We are committed first and foremost to the safety of our clients, our talent and our crew. We have been able to successfully continue production during the COVID-19 pandemic by rigorously following a set of safety protocols that include the following:

Follow Relevant Guidance

All people attending the shoot (crew, talent and client) should follow all guidelines set forth by the CDC and the state in which the shoot is occurring.

Camera Setback

We use longer lenses to allow the camera and monitor to be setback a minimum of 10-feet from talent at all times. If a camera must be closer than 10 feet, we set up the shot and roll camera and step away before the talent steps into frame.

Breaks and Lunch

For the duration of the pandemic, we are not providing any craft services on set (no food or drinks). Crew breaks and lunches are taken offsite.

Masks

All [bmc] crew members remain masked at all times. We ask that all talent remain masked unless shooting.

Multi-subject Shots

For shots with more than one subject, we will shoot each subject individually, and rely on post-production editing to bring the subjects together in frame. We try to avoid placing subjects within 6 feet of each other.

Hand Sanitizer

We provide a lot of it. We encourage you to use it often throughout the shoot.

Minimal Crew

We minimize the number of crew members as much as possible on each shoot. Typically, this means the Director of Photography doubles as the audio engineer, and the shoot Director also assists with lighting, camera deployment and script supervision. We ask that talent be responsible for their own hair/makeup.

Taking Temperature

We ask that all people attending the shoot in-person take their temperature the morning of the shoot, and stay home if their temperature is elevated or if they think they have been exposed to COVID within 14-days of the shoot.
